5 Tips to Create the Ultimate Squeeze page

By: Daniel Smith

If you listen to all the top gurus online, they'll tell you the money is in the list. To obtain that list you need to successfully master lead generation. There are a number of different methods you can use, but the best way to get started in lead generation is to set up a squeeze page related to your market niche and begin building your list.
A squeeze page is effectively a web page that provides some information on what you're offering with an opt in form where visitors can enter their name and email address on your squeeze page in return for some free information. Deciding to embark on lead generation may be one of the best decisions you ever make.

The good news is that you can quickly and easily set up a successful squeeze page if you follow a few basic rules. Here are 5 tips that will help you quickly master lead generation. When creating your squeeze page:

1. Use bullets to list the main benefits. The layout of your page needs to be quickly and easily read by visitors to your site. To master lead generation you want them to quickly digest the information on your squeeze page and be able to make an informed decision whether they would like to leave their name and email address. Using bullets on your squeeze page is a great way of doing this as you can quickly and concisely list the main benefits you have to offer without losing your visitors interest.

2. Highlight or bold key points throughout your text. Lead generation is all about getting your point across to your visitor. To emphasise the key points on your squeeze page you would like visitors to pay particular attention to, it's best to highlight or bold this text so that it stands out.

3. Use a black background on your website. After researching a lot of different squeeze pages, I've discovered one thing a number of them have in common. The color scheme of the site shows a black background on the left and right sides of the screen, with a white page through the middle. This allows the content on your squeeze page to really stand out.

4. Assure your visitors their email address is protected. Online users today can be very sceptical with good reason, due to all the spamming that has taken place in the past. The backbone of any lead generation business requires that you maintain a good level of trust. Informing visitors on your squeeze page that their email address is protected and you will never pass it on, helps provide a level of trust to encourage visitors to sign up on your squeeze page.

5. Call to action. Your page must include a call to action at the end of your squeeze page, just before your opt in form to lead people into entering their details. It's best to only request one call to action on your squeeze page, so don't go putting other links or requests on your page.

You can create a successful squeeze page in a relatively short amount of time, even if you have no experience at it. Pay attention to the format and layout of other squeeze pages you find online and note down any good points. If you're continually making changes to your squeeze page and testing which one works the best you'll become a master of lead generation before you know it. And this wraps up my article on creating the ultimate squeeze page.
