Extraordinary things to do in Victoria!

There was a time in history when cities were walk able, pollution was unheard of, and nature was not miles away. Victoria is the place to be for those who want to escape from the clutches of the hurried world into the inviting laps of Mother Nature.
Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, and is located on the south tip of Vancouver lsland in Canada. The place has a Metro population of 370,000 with a breathtaking inner harbour area.
There is plenty to do and see here and visitors who come here for a weekend often are tempted to extend their stay. The places worth visiting here include the Beacon Hill Park which is peaceful and romantic and offers a great ambience and for those with kids, can check out the Petting Zoo too.
And after some travelling if you wish to stop by to rejuvenate yourself, then a great place to stop by is the Empress Hotel where you can find excellent afternoon tea. Other spots to check out here are the Maritime Museum and if you are fascinated by the Sea, then this will be an amazing experience for you.
For those who wish to have some outdoor fun, can go on fishing and marine tours where you are guaranteed to find a salmon. One must also go on a drive along the Dallas Road with a stop at Cattle Point to stretch your legs and watch the sailboats race or take in the beauty of the sea and distant mountains.
The choice of accommodation here is great with options like Bed & Breakfasts, Inns, campgrounds, guest farms, hostels, hotels, cottages, and five star resorts. Although there are thousands of options to choose from, the steady inflow of visitors make it tough to get a booking sometimes. Many Vancouver Island accommodations boast stunning views of the ocean, mountains, old-growth forests, farmland, gardens and marinas.
