New unlimited call plans available in Australia

There has been a lot of excitement in Australia recently about newly introduced unlimited call plans. These plans offer unlimited calls for a set figure each month and in most cases offer incredible value as the cheapest mobile phone plan in Australia.

These plans to be great but we are certain that some people will be naturally doubtful about what's included. Most people don’t really know what services they are paying for in their monthly bill, they just know it is a certain amount and pay up. Reading the small print of your phone contract will help you understand what is not included in your phone plan and then it will be easy to see if you really are getting as good a deal as you think.

Basically what is included is all local, long distance and calls to mobiles as well as unlimited SMS messages. The plan they offer also includes 2Gb of data which is of importance as other Australian carriers offer 2Gb of data for $99, and this is separate from the unlimited call plan fee. As well as this excellent offer, phone calls on this plan are also unlimited and have no cut off point.

International calls and global roaming are excluded from the unlimited plan. Also any calls made to special numbers, including 19 or 124YES numbers, 13, 1300, 1800 & 1900 numbers. Directory assistance is excluded and any data usage exceeding 2Gb per month. These exclusions only account for a small amount of total call numbers so they are really quite insignificant to potential customers.

Phone plans can be complex as there are so many exclusions to check before you decide on the plan to fit you. This one is designed simply and clearly so you know what to expect before signing up.

An unlimited plan is such good value that other higher end capped mobile phone plans are becoming outmoded. As unlimited call plans increase, they are likely to cover 98% and HSDPA data coverage to 95% of the Australian population.
