Moisturizing performs the important function of maintaining skin moisture balance and giving the skin a supple and radiant look.

Another basic product for mature care is the sunscreen. The ultraviolet rays of the sun are perhaps the most damaging of all environmental factors and are also a leading cause of premature aging, wrinkles and age spots. Mature care therefore makes it mandatory that you apply sunscreen before stepping outdoors. While purchasing a sunscreen it is crucial to keep a few things in mind.Opt for a broad spectrum sunscreen that offers protection from both UVA and UVB rays.It must also have a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 30. Ensure that you apply the sunscreen at least fifteen minutes before exposure to sun.

Apart from these very essential mature skin products there are certain specialized products that are helpful in slowing down skin aging. These include creams and serums. As a last resort mature skin care could include medical and invasive procedures like, skin resurfacing, collagen injections and laser treatments.

The last important factor that has a significant effect on skin health is lifestyle. Along with diet, exercise plays a big role in keeping the skin glowing. Mature skin care requires that you follow a regular exercise routine to keep the blood circulation at an optimum level. Adequate sleep and rest are equally important, something that we often neglect in todays fast paced life. Give up habits like smoking that have a terrible effect on skin elasticity causing premature wrinkles and skin aging. Lastly, release stress as these show up as stress lines on the face.
