What You Need To Know About Cafe Curtains

Changing curtains in your home brings great change in the style and looks of each room. There is a huge difference when there are no curtains on windows and when the windows are completely covered. And if you take into account that there are many types of curtains with different colors and design, you realize it's a huge playground for home improvement.

Cafe curtains can be a great choice in the room where you need privacy and light. Cafe style curtains can cover upper and lower part of the window, thus allowing you to see through the window while preventing anyone from the outside to see what is happening inside. Besides that, you are getting the sunlight in your rooms so the combination that cafe curtains make is perfect. You can use them wherever you like - kitchen, bathroom, shop ares or even a garage is a good place for a cafe curtain.

When you are looking to bring certain atmosphere to the room, color and style of the curtains are very important. They should match the mood you already have in the room, that's a first big rule. For example, frilly curtains can look great in kitchen but to use them in a shop is not such a good idea. One more great thing about cafe curtains, besides that they don't cover the entire window, is that they are installed easily. They can be suspended by rings or can shirr on the rod. They can even be a tab-top cafe curtains with a bit of fabric that will loop over the rod. Usually, they are mounted inside the window frame on spring rods, while the standard curtain rod will be installed if the cafe curtains are outside the frame.

If you want to change the way your cafe curtains look, you can apply anything you come up with. You can change the color of the rod, or use spray to make some markings. Use different fabrics for one cafe curtain and create something you will enjoy in. Usually, they are made of lightweight fabric, but nothing stops you from making a cafe curtain from blue denim.

And one last thing, cafe curtains usually don't have top tier, but you can find some with upper valence that is less than 6" deep. We want you to know this is also an option for you and there isn't anything you can't try actually. Do whatever suits you so you can have a refreshing atmosphere in your home, with enough light and enough privacy. That's what cafe curtains are for, at the end of the day.
