  • The "Silver Lining" Of $4/Gallon Gas
I managed to find somebody yesterday who is optimistic about the US economy! . He owns a print shop and has a masters degree in economic studies. And what he said did make sense to some degree. He says that the crash of the dollar means that the US can export goods again and be competitive and that this will usher in a new era of revitalized manufacturing in America and ultimately cause a financial boom. I hope he is right. I am not so sure. But it was at least good to meet someone who has an optimistic viewpoint about the American economy and where it is headed. And this kind of viewpoint really applies to other things too including the price of gas.
  • Are You Sad About The Rapid Increase In Oil Prices? Here Is A Different Perspective!
I managed to find somebody yesterday who is optimistic about the US economy! . He was quite an intelligent individual who owns a print and copy shop and owns a masters degree in economics. No dummy. And what he said did make sense to some degree. He says that the crash of the dollar means that the US can export goods again and be competitive and that this will usher in a new era of revitalized manufacturing in America and ultimately cause a financial boom. I don’t know if this is true. But it was nice to meet at least one sentient person who is also optimistic. If one steps back and takes a deep breath and looks at the shocking increase in gas prices then they can apply this same brand of optimism. .
  • Reasons to Be Cheerful - Higher Gas Prices?
I managed to find somebody yesterday who is optimistic about the US economy! . He was quite a smart fellow who owns a print and copy shop and owns a masters degree in economics. No dummy. And what he said did make sense to some degree. He forecasted that the devaluation of the dollar is a blessing which will lead to more exporting from the US being possible and that this will lead in the next year or two to a new boom in manufacturing in the USA. I don’t know if this is true. But it was nice to meet at least one sentient person who is also optimistic. And this kind of viewpoint really applies to other things too including the price of gas.

  • The MPG Revolution Below The Radar
As a supporter and coordinator of volunteer activities for Aaron Russo in 2006 I got a wee bit too high on the radar. Award winning film producer Russo was taking on the Federal Reserve and the IRS in his documentary film "America From Freedom to Fascism". I held some well attended get togethers with Russo and his supporters here in Los Angeles and coordinated participation in some peace marches with those supporters where we marched with banners expressing "Want to End The War In Iraq? Shut Down The Federal Reserve".

  • OPEC Sure To Retaliate Against New Proposal
Congress does so many nefarious things in the course of a day that some get missed. Yesterday’s bill which passed the House by a margin of 324 to 84 (big enough to override a presidential veto) would make it possible for the Justice department (why the Justice department?) to seek damages from OPEC countries for oil price manipulation including limiting the supply of oil.
  • Stop Congress From Causing An Oil Price Cataclysm
Yesterday, Congress passed a bill by a ratio of 4:1 (large enough to override if the president should choose to veto) which would enable the Justice dept (one asks why the Justice dept instead of Treasury? Commerce? Highways?) to sue OPEC for price gouging and for limiting supplies of oil to America.

  • The Water4Gas Solution A Fast Moving Train
Congress and the bureaucrats in Washington, the presidents of the last thirty years or so and others who are supposed to be responsible have known for a long time that oil is not in infinite supply and that we need real solutions for that and for the damage being done to our environment. There are some parts of the world where solar and wind energy generation have advanced much further and faster than here in the USA. A number of other innovative energy solutions have already been developed and even tested out in university and corporate laboratories. In view of the reality of how fast that these solutions need to be advanced into widespread useage, though, we are lagging way behind. We are simply moving way too slowly if we hope to avoid a global train wreck in the not too distant future.
  • As Sensible Fuel Options Creep Along…
Congress and the bureaucrats in Washington, the presidents of the last thirty years or so and others who are supposed to be responsible have known for a long time that new sources of energy are desperately needed to compensate for the eventual disappearance of existing fuels as well as to slow the buildup of climate-changing "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere. There are some parts of the world where solar and wind energy generation have advanced much further and faster than here in the USA. A number of other innovative energy solutions have already been developed and even tested out in university and corporate laboratories. But these solutions, which now contribute only a tiny percentage of the world's net fuel supply, are simply moving way too slowly if we hope to avoid a global train wreck in the not too distant future.
  • The Painfully Slow Progress Of Energy Alternatives
Congress and the bureaucrats in Washington, the presidents of the last thirty years or so and others who are supposed to be responsible have known for a long time that oil is not in infinite supply and that we need real solutions for that and for the damage being done to our environment. In fact, wind and solar power have gained significant footholds in some parts of the world. There are other energy solutions which have been carried forward in varying degrees and gone through testing and been implemented to various degrees in different parts of the world. In view of the reality of how fast that these solutions need to be advanced into widespread useage, though, we are lagging way behind. We are simply not being developed fast enough to avert the multifaceted global energy catastrophe that lies ahead.
  • What You Can Do To Be Less Effect Of Fossil Fuel Prices And Deflation?
Well some people might think there is a connection between inflation and peak oil but they would be wrong. Peak oil can never cause inflation in and of itself. The points is that inflation is a specific phenomenon which has as it components an increase in the amount of money and credit in circulation. Peak oil cannot cause that to happen. Rising oil prices in general, for any reason cannot cause inflation either. However, rising oil prices could be a result of inflation. Considering, though, that the American economy is in a deflation right now, the current soaring price of oil is not the result of inflation either, at least not in America.
  • How To Surmount Gasoline Prices And Inflation
Many analysts are pondering whether there is a cause and effect between peak oil and inflation. The answer is clearly no. Oil could go up to $500/barrel and it still could not be solely responsible for inflation. The points is that inflation is a specific phenomenon which has as it components an increase in the amount of money and credit in circulation. Peak oil cannot cause that to happen. So while skyrocketing oil costs can certainly be a result of inflation it cannot be its cause. Considering, though, that the American economy is in a deflation right now, the recent rise in oil prices cannot be attributed to inflation, at least in the U.S.
  • What Is The Relationship Between Peak Oil And Inflation?
Well some people might think there is a connection between inflation and peak oil but they would be wrong. It is like saying that an increase in car traffic in Los Angeles was responsible for a pedestrian being run over on Queens Blvd in Queens, NY. They are just two bad things that are disrelated. Inflation is an increase in money supply and credit. Oil is much like a currency but an international one and it cannot cause domestic inflation without more dollars being in circulation or more debt being established. Rising oil prices in general, for any reason cannot cause inflation either. However, rising oil prices could be a result of inflation. But given that the U.S. is in deflation right here right now, the recent rise in oil prices cannot be attributed to inflation, at least in the U.S.

  • How To Rise Above Financial Concerns Like The Price Of Oil And Inflation
Some analysts are indicating that there is some relationship, in a cause and effect sense, between peak oil and inflation but one wonders where they graduated from and if they took even basic courses in Economics there if that is what they actually think. It is like saying that an increase in car traffic in Los Angeles was responsible for a pedestrian being run over on Queens Blvd in Queens, NY. They are just two bad things that are disrelated. The points is that inflation is a specific phenomenon which has as it components an increase in the amount of money and credit in circulation. Oil is much like a currency but an international one and it cannot cause domestic inflation without more dollars being in circulation or more debt being established. Rising oil prices in general, for any reason cannot cause inflation either. However, rising oil prices could be a result of inflation. But given that the U.S. is in deflation right here right now, the current soaring price of oil is not the result of inflation either, at least not in America.
  • Peak Oil And Inflation – Cause And Effect?
Some analysts are indicating that there is some relationship, in a cause and effect sense, between peak oil and inflation but one wonders where they graduated from and if they took even basic courses in Economics there if that is what they actually think. Oil could go up to $500/barrel and it still could not be solely responsible for inflation. • Is Inflation Causing Soaring Gasoline Prices Or Vice Versa Or Not At All?
Many analysts are pondering whether there is a cause and effect between peak oil and inflation. The answer is clearly no. Oil could go up to $500/barrel and it still could not be solely responsible for inflation. Inflation is an increase in money supply and credit. Peak oil cannot cause that to happen. Rising oil prices in general, for any reason cannot cause inflation either. However, rising oil prices could be a result of inflation. But given that the U.S. is in deflation right here right now, the current soaring price of oil is not the result of inflation either, at least not in America.
  • Is Inflation Causing Soaring Fossil Fuel Prices Or Vice Versa Or Not At All?
Some analysts are indicating that there is some relationship, in a cause and effect sense, between peak oil and inflation but one wonders where they graduated from and if they took even basic courses in Economics there if that is what they actually think. So while skyrocketing oil costs can certainly be a result of inflation it cannot be its cause. • Revolutionary Energy Alternatives Should Not Move This Slowly
But these solutions, which now contribute only a tiny percentage of the world's net fuel supply, are simply moving way too slowly if we hope to avoid a global train wreck in the not too distant future.
  • Water4Gas A Solution For The Energy Revolution
Congress and the bureaucrats in Washington, the presidents of the last thirty years or so and others who are supposed to be responsible have known for a long time that new sources of energy are desperately needed to compensate for the eventual disappearance of existing fuels as well as to slow the buildup of climate-changing "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere. There are some parts of the world where solar and wind energy generation have advanced much further and faster than here in the USA. A number of other innovative energy solutions have already been developed and even tested out in university and corporate laboratories. But these solutions, which now contribute only a tiny percentage of the world's net fuel supply, are simply not being developed fast enough to avert the multifaceted global energy catastrophe that lies ahead.
  • Taking Renewable Energy Solutions Out Of The Hands Of Bureaucrats
It has long been evident to policymakers that oil is not in infinite supply and that we need real solutions for that and for the damage being done to our environment. In fact, wind and solar power have gained significant footholds in some parts of the world. In view of the reality of how fast that these solutions need to be advanced into widespread useage, though, we are lagging way behind. We are simply not being developed fast enough to avert the multifaceted global energy catastrophe that lies ahead.
