- Banking Cash Receipts
To insure an adequate cash record, all receipts, no matter how small, should be deposited in the bank. If an amount received is small, the money may, however, be held in the office until a large enough sum accumulates to warrant making a deposit. Whatever may be the procedure, when a deposit is made such deposit should equal in amount the total cash receipts from the time the last deposit was made. - The picture of the business letter.
In view of the large proportion of business transactions which are consummated by correspondence, I regard any well directed efforts toward the improvement of business letter writing as most worth while. I am very glad to improve the opportunity to add a word of emphasis to the obligation which I feel rests upon our teachers of English and our business executives to do all in their power to improve the standards of such communications.
